Dr. Dawla Al-Mulla is a dedicated national professional whose commitment and academic excellence have earned her a distinguished reputation in accounting and business education. She is a faculty member and PhD researcher in Business Analytics with a focus on accounting at the University of Bahrain, playing a pivotal role in educating and mentoring the next generation of business leaders.

Her research explores advanced intersections of technology, sustainability, and finance, with a particular emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, machine learning, green banking, artificial intelligence, and advanced business analytics in accounting.

Dr. Al-Mulla currently serves as a board member of the Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA), contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen the accounting profession in Bahrain. She is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership, forward-thinking vision, and advocacy for innovation, professional ethics, and continuous development in the sector.

From 2022 to 2024, she was appointed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development as a board member of the Bahrain Development and Advancement Association, where she played a key role in supporting national strategies related to sustainable development, economic empowerment, and institutional collaboration.

  • PhD Candidate in Business Analytics, Accounting Focus - University of Bahrain.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) - University of Bahrain.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting - University of Bahrain.

Professional Experience:

Dr. Al-Mulla began her career in the oil and gas sector with Chevron Middle East as an accountant for five years, gaining valuable experience in complex financial environments. In 2015, she joined Ernst & Young as a training coordinator and financial accounting consultant, deepening her expertise in auditing and advisory services. In 2016, she brought her skills to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, supervising financial operations and supporting business community initiatives.

Known for her intellectual rigor, ethical leadership, and interdisciplinary vision, Dr. Al-Mulla is widely respected across academic, professional, and policymaking circles. She continues to be a driving force in integrating sustainability, technology, and finance, dedicating her expertise to empowering the next generation to build a smarter, more resilient economic future for Bahrain and beyond.
