Abdulrahman Alshafei

Mr. Abdulrahman Abdullah AlShafei brings over 18 years of extensive experience in the banking and investment sector, specializing in corporate governance, general management operations, risk management, and information security projects.

He currently serves as Director General of Governance, Risk, and Compliance at a company specialized in managing Public Investment Fund operations in Saudi Arabia.

Previously, he served as Head of Risk & Compliance at the Bahrain Bourse from January 2020 to July 2022. Throughout his career, Mr. AlShafai has held senior positions at multiple investment banking institutions in Bahrain and abroad, including:

• Head of Investor Relations, Compliance, Corporate Governance & General Management - Zain Bahrain.
• Financial Advisor - Bank of Mashreq.
• Senior Manager - Global Banking Corporation.
• Manager - Abu Dhabi Investment House.

Educational Qualifications:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) - University of South Wales, UK (2011).
• Diploma in Governance, Compliance & Risk Management - International Compliance Association (ICA), UK (2017).
• Diploma in Financial & Banking Sciences - RMIT University, Australia (2003).

Mr. AlShafai also serves as a Board Member of the Amal Fund, representing Bahrain Bourse. The Amal Fund supports youth-led initiatives and projects by identifying national talents and skills, fostering innovative ideas, developing promising projects, and promoting sustainable development, creating a positive impact on the national economy.
