A computer engineer turned entrepreneur and award-winning jewelry designer, she founded her own brand - Amal Al Majed Jewellery W.L.L. - which has become synonymous with contemporary Bahraini elegance.
Graduating from the University of Bahrain in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Amal followed her passion for art and design by earning a Jewelry Design Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 2013. Since then, she has embarked on an extraordinary journey that redefined the essence of Bahraini jewelry craftsmanship.
A Bahraini Brand Inspiring the Next Generation
Since its establishment in 2016, Amal’s brand has become a symbol of national artistry and craftsmanship. Today, her boutiques in Seef Mall and The Avenues showcase exquisite collections that blend Bahraini gold (21K & 18K), pearls, and diamonds - merging heritage with modernity.
National and Regional Presence
Amal Al Majed has participated in major exhibitions such as Jewellery Arabia, as well as events in Kuwait and Sharjah, and the third edition of the “Layali Al-Muharraq” Festival, highlighting her strong presence in Bahrain’s artistic and economic scene.
Her wide recognition came after her participation in “Beban” Season 2 (2023) - a program by Hope Ventures - where she emerged as one of Bahrain’s most inspiring female entrepreneurs in luxury and design.
Passion for Knowledge and Professionalism
Amal’s journey did not stop at design. She continued to expand her expertise through leadership and entrepreneurship programs at Georgetown University, and specialized courses at BIBF and DANAT Institute in gemology and pearl sciences, strengthening her profile as a designer who bridges science, art, and business.
Awards and Global Recognition
In 2013, Amal won first place in the GIA Mumbai Design Competition, excelling in both the children’s jewelry and men’s jewelry categories. This achievement positioned her on the global stage as a designer who masterfully fuses innovation with Gulf identity.
Empowering Youth and Women
Amal is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge with the next generation. Through her involvement with INJAZ Bahrain and her workshops and lectures at Bahraini universities, she encourages young people - especially women - to pursue design and entrepreneurship with confidence and creativity.
She also served as a member of the Youth Committee at the Supreme Council for Women and volunteered with the General Organization for Youth and Sports, reflecting her strong sense of community and national responsibility.
