

AIESEC Bahrain Announces Its New Board of Directors, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Youth Leadership and Global Engagement
AIESEC Bahrain has announced the formation of its new Board of Directors following the General Assembly Meeting for 2026, held in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The General Assembly reviewed the organisation’s key achievements and activities during the previous period and marked a new chapter for AIESEC Bahrain as it continues to strengthen its role in empowering youth, developing future leaders and creating opportunities for meaningful local and international engagement.
The newly appointed Board of Directors will be led by Mr. Omar A. Aziz Ayoob, Chairperson, with Ms. Shahd Mohamed Zaki serving as Vice Chairperson, Mr. Hamad Abdulla Al Fadhel as Treasurer, and Ms. Latifa Abdulla Mutaywea as Secretary. The Board also includes Mr. Qays Hatim Al Zubi, Mr. Saud Yousif Alhadi, Ms. Zahraa Taher, Ms. Amina Ameer Al Asfoor, Ms. Najma Ghuloom, Mr. Ahmed Abbas Aseeri and Eng. Khaled Salman Al Shaikh.
As part of the global AIESEC network, AIESEC Bahrain will continue to provide youth with opportunities to develop their leadership potential through practical experiences, cross-cultural engagement and international exposure, while building partnerships that contribute to positive and sustainable impact.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Omar A. Aziz Ayoob, Chairperson of AIESEC Bahrain, said:“Taking on the leadership of AIESEC Bahrain is both an honour and a responsibility. Our ambition is not simply to continue what has been built before us, but to take AIESEC Bahrain to a new level of impact, visibility and engagement. We want to create more meaningful opportunities for youth to lead, to experience the world, to connect across cultures and to turn their ideas into action.”
He added: “Being part of AIESEC means being part of a global movement that believes youth leadership is a responsibility and a powerful force for positive change. We will work to strengthen AIESEC Bahrain’s position within the global AIESEC network, expand our partnerships locally and internationally, and ensure that youth in Bahrain have a platform through which they can develop themselves, contribute to their communities and become leaders who create lasting impact.”
The new Board will focus on strengthening AIESEC Bahrain’s programmes, partnerships and youth engagement, while expanding opportunities for youth to gain practical leadership experience and connect with the wider international AIESEC community.
The organisation will also continue to build on its mission of empowering youth and creating opportunities that encourage leadership, cultural understanding, collaboration and positive change.
