The Bahrain Turf Club are delighted to welcome a new addition to their training ranks following the announcement that Dan and Claire Kübler are to train for Al Adiyat Racing and others under the Royal Stables in Bahrain.
Husband and wife Dan and Claire Kübler have trained in the United Kingdom under a joint licence as Kübler Racing for the last five years, enjoying considerable success. In 2023 they were represented by Astro King in the $1million Group 2 Bahrain International Trophy and they enjoyed their best season to date in 2024 saddling 42 winners.
Speaking about how the opportunity to assist in developing a new training facility in Bahrain came about, Dan and Claire Kübler said: “The move follows an approach we received from His Highness Shaikh Isa, on behalf of the Royal Stables, who outlined his vision and ambition for racing in Bahrain.
“Our first taste of Bahrain came when campaigning our best horse Astro King in the million-dollar Bahrain International Trophy in late 2023. The ambition and intent of the Bahrain Turf Club were clear then, and the pace of development since has been striking.
“With increased investment, an expanding fixture list, and a clear commitment to the future, Bahrain is fast becoming a focal point for racing in the region, with ambitions to join the leading centres of world racing. We are excited to play a role in that journey.”
The pair will begin training from a new facility in October, coinciding with the start of the 2025/26 season.
Yusuf Buheji, CEO of the Bahrain Turf Club said: “Our goal at the Bahrain Turf Club is to keep developing and improving the quality of racing in Bahrain. For a training operation of the calibre of Dan and Claire Kübler to set up in Bahrain and train from a newly developed facility is exciting news.”
“It shows that our investment in infrastructure, facilities and the race programme is driving horseracing in Bahrain forward and giving it an increasingly prominent role on the world stage.
“To have horses trained here in the Kingdom by Dan and Claire Kübler will help increase the competitiveness and quality of our racing.”
