As part of her official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, conducted a field tour with Dr. Raed Sami Afash Al Adwan, Jordan’s Minister of Youth, to prominent youth institutions in the kingdom to learn about Jordan’s experience in youth empowerment and capacity building.
The visit included Al Hussein Youth City, one of Jordan’s oldest youth and sports institutions, which aims to enhance services provided to youth and athletes and provide an integrated environment for youth activities. The minister also toured the Olympic Preparation Centre, which develops the skills of Jordanian athletes and prepares them for regional and international competitions.
The programme further included a visit to the Bayt Al Kashafah (Scout House), Jordan’s first specialised scouting training centre, which supports scouting and guiding activities, instils national values, and strengthens youth’s sense of belonging and teamwork.
The minister visited youth camps promoting participation in political life and elections, initiatives aimed at empowering young people to take an active role in the political process and shaping their country’s future.
The visit underscored the commitment to advancing youth cooperation between Bahrain and Jordan, enabling the exchange of expertise in youth empowerment, and supporting the development of programmes and initiatives that serve young people.
