The Bahrain Economists Society organized a lecture on Sunday evening, September 14, 2025, titled “Innovation and Culture in the 21st Century”, as part of its ongoing efforts to raise economic awareness and promote a culture of innovation in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The lecture was delivered by Professor Odeh Al-Jayyousi, Head of the Business Administration Department and the Innovation Management Program at the Arabian Gulf University. He addressed the relationship between innovation and culture, their role in shaping modern societies, and their impact on sustainable economic and social development. The session was moderated by Ms. Reem Janahi, Board Member and Treasurer of the Bahrain Economists Society.
For his part, Dr. Omar Al-Ubaydli, President of the Bahrain Economists Society, expressed his pride in the success of the event, noting that “Promoting a culture of innovation is a key pillar in achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which the Society seeks to support through its various initiatives.”
The lecture was held at the Swiss-Belhotel in Seef District, with a distinguished audience of economic and cultural enthusiasts, and witnessed rich interactions with the ideas presented.
This event comes as part of a series of activities and seminars organized by the Society to enhance dialogue on current economic issues, while contributing to supporting innovation and empowering national talents.
