Bahraini lawyer and arbitrator Hussain Ali took part in the 3rd Asian Universities Arabic Debate Championship, hosted in Muscat, Oman, from October 28 to November 2, 2025. The event was organized by the Oman Debate Center in collaboration with the QatarDebate Center, featuring broad participation from 18 Asian countries, over 40 universities, and 250 participants, including debaters, adjudicators, and volunteers.
Hussain Ali served among a distinguished panel of 60 international adjudicators from across Asia. He adjudicated all stages of the tournament-from preliminary rounds and point-collection stages to the knockout phases, including the quarterfinals and semifinals, and finally the third-place debate-representing Bahrain with professionalism and excellence in this prestigious academic forum.
In a statement, Hussain Ali expressed his pride in representing Bahrain as an adjudicator at such a significant intellectual event, describing the championship as one of the most prominent platforms for constructive dialogue and skill development in Asia. He praised the event’s high level of organization and professionalism, as well as the rich intellectual exchange among participants.
Held under the slogan “Dialogue Unites Asia,” the championship featured engaging debates on diverse intellectual, social, and cultural issues such as digital illiteracy, cybersecurity, criminalization of searching for digital suicide methods, and the limits of frankness in the legal profession. The competition fostered an atmosphere of respectful dialogue, collaboration, and cultural openness among Asian youth.
The championship concluded at the Arab Open University in Muscat with a closing ceremony honoring adjudicators and participants. The organizing committee commended the outstanding performance of all judges, including Bahraini adjudicator Hussain Ali Ghuloom, whose remarkable presence was recognized throughout the event.
It is worth noting that Hussain Ali is a Bahraini lawyer, certified arbitrator, and private executor, as well as the founder and CEO of “Monazarat Al-Mamlaka” (Kingdom Debates). He possesses extensive experience in arbitration, academic debating, and legal enforcement, and has served as a judge in several regional and Arab championships, proudly representing Bahrain in multiple intellectual and academic arenas while promoting a culture of dialogue and critical thinking among youth.
