The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has launched the Bahrain Post electronic locker service, reflecting its commitment to further developing the postal system and providing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and deliver more convenient and flexible services to customers across the Kingdom.

Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post Affairs at the ministry, affirmed that the service forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and improve the quality of postal services in line with customer expectations.  She noted that the service offers practical and flexible options for parcel collection, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to services tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses.

Al Dhaen said that the electronic lockers provide customers with a secure and flexible experience for receiving parcels without being bound by fixed timings or the need to visit post offices.  Customers are notified with a code and locker location, with the option of authorising another person to collect the parcel using the code.

The lockers have been installed at key locations, including major shopping centres, enabling customers to collect parcels at their convenience, beyond official working hours, with safe storage ensured until collection.

The electronic lockers are available at Seef Mall (Seef District), Seef Mall (Muharraq), Seef Mall (Isa Town), Marassi Galleria, The Avenues, Souq Al Baraha, Dragon City, and Saar Mall, with further expansion planned in the coming period.  Customers can access the lockers during the operating hours of each facility.

The ministry affirmed its commitment to advancing a modern and integrated postal system that enhances service quality and operational efficiency, positioning Bahrain as a leading regional hub in postal and logistics services while promoting innovation and future readiness to achieve its strategic objectives.
