Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, commended the success of the Future Paramedic programme and its role in promoting a sense of responsibility among young people.
 
The minister emphasised that empowering youth with essential life skills is one of the key pillars of the ministry’s strategy to prepare a conscious and responsible generation capable of contributing effectively to community service and national development. She noted the ministry’s focus on designing and implementing training programmes aimed at developing the skills of young people to help them handle various life situations with confidence and competence, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility.
 
The remarks came during the closing ceremony of the Future Paramedic programme, organised as part of the activities of Youth City 2030, Muharraq and Hamad Town Model Youth Centres, and the Science Centre, in cooperation with the Paramedics Academy Team and supported by Al Salam Bank. The programme aimed to raise health and first aid awareness among youth and develop their ability to respond to emergencies with confidence and responsibility.
 
The Minister of Youth Affairs honoured the programme participants for their commitment to learning new skills and benefiting from the training experience. She also honoured Al Salam Bank, commending its cooperation in supporting youth training and qualification initiatives in first aid.
 
Yasmin Mufeed, director of Public Relations at the Paramedics Academy Team, expressed pride in the success of the programme, describing it as a leading humanitarian and awareness initiative. She said the programme trained more than 200 students aged between 7 and 14.
 
Mofeed added that the programme has helped instil a culture of first aid among youth, encouraging initiative, responsibility, and self-confidence in dealing with emergencies. She noted that graduating a new group of Future Paramedics reflects a promising generation that embraces humanitarian values and the spirit of giving from an early age.
 
The ceremony included a live demonstration simulating an emergency situation, during which participants showcased their quick and effective response skills, along with a video presentation highlighting the programme’s key training activities and workshops.
